Your Offshore Trip
From Clarks Landing, you will depart generally at 5:30am in the 31ft Twin Vee catamaran loaded down w/ all the fishing tackle, bait, lures and everything else you will need to make this trip a complete success.
8hr trips typically venture out to 25-30 miles and make stops on oil rigs, sunken war ships and natural rocks and ridges. The same for the 10 & 12 trips however on those trips we often go out much further depending on what we are targeting.
Expect a comfy ride in the twin engine catamaran. To make it even nicer, you will have your own marine grade bean bag to rest on. On many occasions, anglers will fall asleep both going and coming.
Expect to catch fish. Also, plan to catch your own fish. Unless requested, our captains or deckhand do not set the hook or reel your fish in. That's your job and most folks enjoy that part.
After landing the fish for the day, the fish will be packed on ice and we will make our way back to the Port O'Connor jetties and back to your landing marina, Clarks to complete your 8, 10 or 12 hour adventure.

What to Expect from the Fish:
Wahoo are pelagic in nature and typically stay in deeper blue water. We catch them drifting large menhaden or blue runners on deep drop offs and ledges as well as trolling lures. Cooler water temperatures help larger concentrations of these fish group together.
They are incredibly tasty and provide a great tug on rod n' reel. |
Tarpon. Yes, there are Tarpon in Texas and more importantly Port O' Connor just might be the Tarpon "Capital" of Texas.
These fish provide unmatched pull and drag runs on rod n' reel. From 5ft-100ft we target these fish both on live bait and large artificial swim baits. These fish are extremely acrobatic and a lifetime catch. |
